It ships with 30 meters of cable and a flat face plate for convenient mounting away from the controller. This meter will display a great deal of information about the TriStar controller and the operation of your system.
note: This system is 12 volts and modules are wired in parallel, but it could be configured for 24 volts by connecting panels in series and battery bank in series for 24 volts. That would also require a 24v inverter for your 120vac. Consider this if your array is farther away from batteries and controller as this would allow smaller wire and less voltage loss on long wire runs
Anything connected to the positive battery post should have a fuse or breaker to protect the wiring, and the size of the fuse or breaker depends upon the size of wire used in your system. Place no larger than a 30 amp fuse or circuit breaker for 10-AWG wire.
It’s also helpful to isolate the charge controller by having a breaker between the controller and batteries, and one between the controller and solar array as a means to shut everything off such as when doing battery maintenance or working in the vicinity
