We recommend using only true deep cycle batteries with 12v 100 WATT RV KIT systems, like golf cart batteries. Lithium will be the gold standard in the future as they re-charge 4-5x faster than lead acid.

Batteries rated for “marine or rv” are usually hybrids and can crank an engine but not take nearly as many cycles of discharging / re-charging.

(You cannot use regular auto batteries as they aren’t designed for any deep discharge and recharging.)
