800 WATT 12V OFF GRID SOLAR KIT with 2000W PURE SINE INVERTER
The 800 Watt Solar kit is easy to install with 4 panels to connect in series / parallel for an Off Grid 12v system. This kit utilizes Moderate Over-sizing (~5-30% above Max. Nominal Solar Power) for this configuration. Controller operates at higher capacity though output current may be limited at times with moderately reduced power harvest below Maximum Power Point levels. No risk of damage to controller in this configuration. Using an over-sized PV array in very hot climates may reduce the life expectancy of the controller to some degree. Custom programming for reduced max. battery current can be used to reduce internal over-heating.
Energy harvesting during lower power production periods (cloudy weather) is often more valued than during times when the array can operate at full power (sunny weather). These controllers can limit current and will run at 100% of rated output, and work especially well when your batteries are deeply discharged. Oversizing runs the controller at maximum levels more consistently
The controller was designed with this power-shaving capability and when oversized it does not void the warranty.
