We’ve traveled 1000’s of miles in our RV and gone camping months at a time without the need for shore power or a generator. When the sun goes down we’ve always had all the comforts of home with modest systems with 150W-1000W solar – Morningstar charge controllers, and pairs of 2 x 6v deep cycle batteries with an inverter
(and also a solar hot water system which gives us plenty of free scalding hot water whenever the sun is shining.)
We monitor everything with a Trimetric 2030RV, or Morningstar system monitors.
