Designed for money saving, owner built and do it yourself projects, or professional installers, most of our off-grid system packages are based on proven 12v 200 watt monocrystalline solar modules. They're less costly and faster to ship via Fed Ex than large 60+ lb residential modules which can only ship on a pallet via freight truck.
These 12V panels at 24 lbs are fairly easy to handle and install, with very robust output rated at 200 watts - 11.76 amps.
Off Grid systems can always be expanded and can be configured for charging 12v, 24v, or 48v battery banks. Off grid kits include inverters for 120V power
Inverters are available in 24v and 48v also.
Smaller systems up to 1000 Watts are 12 volt panels wired in parallel for charging 12v battery banks combined with pure sine 12v inverters.
Larger systems up to 2000 Watts are 24 volts with 12v solar modules wired in series for charging 24v battery banks combined with pure sine 24v inverters.

This kit utilizes Moderate Over-sizing (~5-30% above Max. Nominal Solar Power) for this configuration. Energy harvesting during lower power production periods (cloudy weather) is often more valued than during times when the array can operate at full power (sunny weather). These controllers can limit current and will run at 100% of rated output, and work especially well when your batteries are deeply discharged. Oversizing runs the controller at maximum levels more consistently. The controller was designed with this power-shaving capability and when oversized it does not void the warranty.
